developing reading habits (especially for kids)
came across a good email from Mr.S.M. Arif Maricar from Riyadh Tamil Sangam for reading habits which is quite clearly diminishing these days especially becasue of movies, internet, craps like TV soaps which is so popular among house wives and becasue of all these things I wonder if any one still reads any books at all.
To love reading one thing you can do is read magazines (like ananda vikatan
) from your langauage by which you can improve and slowly read other langauges like English, Arabic if you wish to do so and for me though I get most of my technical stuff by googling internet for couple of minutes almost for anything still I am fond of buying and reading technical books and I make a point that I read for atleast 1 hr per day which when develops as a habit will give you great rewards well as said knowledge is POWER anyways

Eid Holidays
During these Eid Holidays went to and enjoyed a good trip to Dammam and stayed at Golden Tulip Al Hamra Hotel to celebrate the b'day of my kid Sarah. The hotel was exhorbitanly expensive more than what it is in Bahrain. I booked online and was 363 SAR per night for a standard room which is around 100 $ okay but the surprise was there was 15 % surcharge and it turned to be 417 SAR per night which is terribly expensive for that hotel. Enjoyed the Sauna (Saudi in summer itself is sauna
) and especially steam bath
Some of the hotel staff were freindly but some are not. Anyways its good for a business trip
but not from your pocket. The other good one around is Dammam Hotel and that one is cheaper.

Happy Eid Ul Fitr & Diwali
Wishing you a very happy & joyable Eid Ul Fitr
and happy Diwali
During holidays planning to vacation in Dammam and made a online booking at a star hotel in Dammam long back and looking forward to sauna and delicious food there
Driving by car from Riyadh to Dammam is always a delightful experience and I think it is in any middle eastern countries where you never have to worry about fuel and very wide and big roads for a greater experience and if especially if you have a good car. I always enjoy driving and am waiting for to leave

sticking on
i decided to stay in www.rizwan.in for all blogs and for everything, and nbot to maintain another blog site (http://blog.rizwan.in) , seems that it will be a confusing (for myself atleast
) maintaining two blog sites and one a complete site and the other primarily a blog site.

seperate blog site (blog.rizwan.in)
Since I wanted to keep the technical blogs seperate from this site as it was cluttering with more and more blogs mixed with personal and technical stuff I decided to have a seperate blog site for technical stuff and so I created blog.rizwan.in
.
The blog site seems to be looking good if you can have a look at it and just a couple of blogs as of now and i'll keep on increasing stuff there as time goes. meanwhile i will keep my articles which i write
in this site .

Ramadan Kareem !!!
Ramadan Kareem !!!
I wish all of brothers and sisters in Islam a happy Ramadan !!!
Ramadan is the month of fasting its the time you have a glimpse of what hunger is by fasting for Allah and in turn you give the charity to the poor people who are in need of basic things and food for thier whole life...
Its a great month and here in Riyadh the environment is very great and the night life here gets active with most of the people shopping and enjoying varieties of dishes till early morining and then fast and then go the work then break the fast and again go for shopping but actually this is the month where you will have to spend most of the time praying and in good deeds.
Wish you again a happy eid-ul-fitr.
Here are some of the good links relating to Ramadan

A great Tamil Talk Show Event in Riyadh !!!
A little intro about RTS first
Riyadh Tamil Sangam a community for Tamil and Tamilians was founded some 6 months ago in Riyadh and as a first event they invited vairamuthu a great lyricist in Tamil and that was the time RTS came into lime light and it was made possible by the efforts of the Indian Ambassador to Riyadh the honourable Mr.Farooq Marakkair.
So this thursday RTS had arranged a patti mandram (a talk show in tamil )by Solomon pappiyaa considered to be the father of these kind of events. It was announced 3 weeks ago and I was waiting for this day. I know its going to be fun and exciting as this was the first live patti mandram I am going to see. Also this was unique in Riyadh a more conservative and orthodox place. So some thing was smelling good for me and the excitement was abuzz

Lessons of Life

but narrower viewpoints.
We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy
less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more
conveniences, but less time.
We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge,
