iPhone OS4 review

Installed the new OS4, the upgrade was not smooth as usual, it was a painful upgrade but worth the upgrade…

Why it was painful because the upgrade required iTunes 9.2, and autoupdate from iTunes was giving problems, I tried couple of times, I was only wasting internet download space…

So its better to go to iTunes website and download iTunes and install and then upgrade.

So some of the features I liked is

  • camera has zoom
  • background image while displaying apps
  • multitasking (though not actual)
  • email is like conversations now
  • folders to manage apps
  • spell checking

Enjoy its worth the upgrade

A.R Rahman Concert

Recently as part of Sydney Festival, there was A.R Rahman concert in Parramatta, Sydney. It was really good, the crowd was almost at 70,000 mostly Indians and very less anglo indians, it was a very cool show. Rahman an Oscar winning composer told the crowd that this concert is close to his heart and he was speaking in harmony for Indo Australian ties because of the recent racist violence against Indians in Melbourne.

The concert starts with Drums Sivamani. The show was on for 3 hrs, but I have just loaded three videos, concert started with Drums by famous Sivamani, See the video

Khabhi Khabi Song, one of my favourite

the concert ending with Jai Ho

Childrens Day

Amma, I don’t want to go to school. I am just a child, Ma. I want someone to tell me stories and teach me. I want to watch tadpoles and butterflies and know what they eat, where they sleep. I want to climb a hill and catch a cloud to see what it is made of. I want to wait with my hands in the stream and feel the fish swimming. I want to run with the puppies, sing with the birds, and play with paper-boats in the rain.

Very Old homes in Iran

As of now there is trouble in Iran with elections, it is strange that US somehow manages to be freindly when hard liners like Benjamin Netayahu get elected, but frowns when Iran elects a hard liner

Coming to the subject, got these valuable pictures of old homes in Iran…

Plight of Indian Students in OZ

First of all, let me tell you that Racism is negligible in Australia compared to other countries. I have been living in Sydney for almost 2 yrs now and  havent faced any racism in work-place or anywhere. Having said that I am scared to travel in public transport after 10pm in trains and sensible persons will avaoid travelling late or exercise caution. So my views are that whatever thats happening is mostly oppurtunistic with a little bit of racism. Here is the story…

See this news.

Grand Pacific Drive

Recently went a trip to grand pacific drive from Sydney to Wollongong.

We took the route via scenic tourist route via bald hill, also going via Royal National Park. You can merely pass via Royal National Park or you will have to pay toll if you picnic there. The river side picnic is exotic location.

The views before bald hill is amazing, this place is also known for hand gliding. The views from bald hill facing the ocean is simply superb.

After bald hill you will see the bridge, the cliff where the new bridge over the sea is build, which is a part of grand pacific drive, the drive is simply fantastic. You can also walk in the 800 mts bridge, but when we were driving it was mildly raining..

The drive over the bridge leaves you feeling great, and the route upto wollonging is great.
