HP touchpad after price discount is sold out

Probably I am too late in reacting to events like this but I missed this one, it was very cheap as chips compared to iPads, but seems there are lot of others out there who react fast, faster :-). I could have bought this and given it to my kids :-) :-)

Will anyone buy HP products anymore after this??

iPhone OS4 review

Installed the new OS4, the upgrade was not smooth as usual, it was a painful upgrade but worth the upgrade…

Why it was painful because the upgrade required iTunes 9.2, and autoupdate from iTunes was giving problems, I tried couple of times, I was only wasting internet download space…

So its better to go to iTunes website and download iTunes and install and then upgrade.

So some of the features I liked is

  • camera has zoom
  • background image while displaying apps
  • multitasking (though not actual)
  • email is like conversations now
  • folders to manage apps
  • spell checking

Enjoy its worth the upgrade

Allows up to 100 favourites - Recent calls shows the call duration - Speed dialing - integrates with another iPhone app called 'groups' Go and load it, very useful and costs very less ($1.99) for Australia.

Dual Sim Card mobile Phones

Dual subscriber identity module (SIM) card mobile phones (or two-in-one cellphones) have made it to the market of late.

Tata Teleservices [Get Quote] along with Samsung recently launched a dual phone called Samsung Duo that supports a CDMA and a GSM SIM connection. Spice, too, has introduced its own rendition with the Spice D88 model that supports both GSM & CDMA connections and Dual D80, which supports two GSM connections.

Dual SIM phones can be used if you want both a personal and business number (i.e. two connections) on a single handset, thus saving money by combining two different payment plans or network carriers, or maybe using regularly local pre-paid cards on your business trips.

Major mobile phones manufacturers, however, look disinterested in this particular phone category.

funny iphone video

iPhone is the craze these days  and since it has been launched there is news about people waiting in the queue for 3 days to first hand buy it.

worldspace receiver

When I was in india I heard about the worldspace receiver mostly because of A.R Rehman ads for the worldspace, seems he is the brand ambassador for it and so thought to buy one receiver and use it in Riyadh. It was very cheap indeed , with only BPL type receivers available and so got a 6 months subscription, tested in India and it was working great.

It is having 40 channels totol with 1 tamil channel, 1 hindi and 1 old hindi songs, and bangla, malayalam, telugu and international channels , 1 hiphop, 1 country, 1 jazz and so on.. it is also having BBC, NDTV news channels and so I tried here in Riyadh with much excitement when I returned back from vacation 1 week before. In my place in India the signal reception was very good but here I had to place the antenna at the top of the building in open space and the signal reception is not excellent till now. May be I have to fine tune a bit but as for now I am receving the signal and the am listening to non-stop songs especially the hindi one (jhanjaar beats). The best thing about this worldspace is nonstop music with no ads.

Unfortunately you will not find the receiver in Riyadh here, may be you can shop online or get one from India when coming back. It is cheap and worth the money...
